Health and Time Management By: Je’ John

Anyone whom thinks that time management does not have anything to do with health is wrong. Having the skill of time management is the key towards having an healthy mind and body. Excellent time management, always, includes planning for short term as well as long term and placing tasks from important to least important. A way to organize an individual’s tasks and projects is by using items, such as a calendar or mobile device. What many people fall victim to is the side effects of poor time management. Poor time management has a negative outcome, in your work performance, your self-esteem, your relationships and even your health is impacted by the usage of time. Time management and health are related.

Placing your tasks in terms of importance can help your well-being. An example of how this can help you, in the future, is to avoid eating horrible foods, like fast food burgers, go to the gym twice a week and even going to bed early. Three ways that are important are to eat more vegetables and fruits, drink water, often, during the day and take walks outside, regularly, for at least twenty minutes. Having short term and long term plans are important to our health, because it will make it harder to waste time and as a result you are more likely to achieve your goal. According to Paul Minors, usage of a to-do list or calendar will make it harder to procrastinate and as a result you will complete the tasks you wanted to finish.

If an individual do not have a schedule, one is more likely not to do the things that are most important. Time management is so important that it can affect your health for the worst and for the best. A person whom manages time well will finish tasks easier than someone without. A person with terrible time management has a higher chance of inefficient work flow, more wasted time, missed deadlines and poor quality work. All these things lead to stress. Stress, directly, increases heart rate and blood flow. Those lead to the release of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood stream which leads to heart disease.

If you have any health issue, having a great schedule can help you overcome your health problem. It is more difficult to have horrible time management and be in great condition. A variety of things can affect your health, including stress, lack of sleep, lack of nutrition and unnecessary items digested constantly. All these can be, easily, changed, if you have great time management. Health and time management are very important to your entire life, now and in the future.
